Hi! I'm Liz and I don't really run a cupcake shop!

Writing about yourself is always a difficult task, people always seem to start with the small-talk leads like where you live, what you do etc. But that's doesn’t even scratch the surface of learning about a person, nor does it really tell you that much about them.

Instead, I’ll dive right in and tell you about the important stuff: my family is #1 in my life, I'm an animal lover at my core, a vegetarian, and a Harry Potter fan - always. My idea of a perfect Saturday is walking my husky-mix Bella on a great trail, eating delicious food, enjoying tasty drinks, and having a games night (Resistance anyone?) with close friends and family. 

And if you still want to know the 'usual' - I currently live in the Church-Wellesley area of Toronto, and work in Liberty Village, but my home is Waterloo, which is where I was raised. I currently work for Loblaw Digital, which is the digital branch of Loblaw Companies Limited. We're tasked with owning all the digital properties of Canada's largest and most successful retailer (Joe Fresh, Beauty Boutique, Online Grocery etc.). We operate in a similar way to start-ups, but with the resources of a large company. I often feel like we're a company within a company; we own our part of the puzzle and have our own teams to get the job done right (everything from production, development, trading, content, photography, marketing etc.).

Above all else, I’m a super fun person to be around. I’m not quite as sweet as a cupcake, I aim to be pretty close – I believe that actions speak louder than words and try to spread kindness and love everywhere I go through a positive attitude and judgement-free mindset.
